How Individual Counselling can help

Individual Counselling can significantly enhance emotional well-being. It is well-suited for addressing a wide range of issues, such as:

What is Individual Counselling?

Individual Counselling is one-on-one (client and psychotherapist) talking therapy which aims to help deal with a wide range of personal topics. It’s aimed at exploring feelings, beliefs, or behaviours, working through challenging or influential memories, identifying aspects of life you want to change, better understanding yourself and others, setting personal goals, and working toward desired change.

We understand that the path to self-discovery and healing is profoundly personal. Our individual, one-to-one counselling sessions are designed to meet you right where you are. Individual Counselling benefits include creating a time and space centred around you, where you can carve out time to express yourself, commit to self-learning, and boost your resilience.

Some of the approaches and specialisms used by our Counsellors are Person-centred, Psychodynamic, Systemic, Transpersonal, Mindfulness, Psychosexual, CBT, EMDR, and Myers Briggs personality test.

Our Therapists are highly professional, with many years of experience. Starting Individual Counselling

Whether you need immediate support, want to address current or past issues, or wish to discuss your feelings and state of mind with an experienced therapist and professional in a safe and confidential setting, Individual Therapy offers transformative benefits that foster personal growth.

Individual Therapy does not have to be started in moments of crisis. Many people go to Individual Therapy for personal development and, at times, to ensure that they are maintaining good care for their mental and emotional health.

Individual Therapy at Leone Centre, whether in person in London or online, starts with an initial, full-length assessment appointment. Once you have selected the Therapist you feel is best suited to support you, either by viewing our team page or contacting a member of our client services team, you can book your initial appointment over the phone or using our booking form.

The initial appointment is an opportunity for you to get a feel for your psychotherapist, their approach, and how they work, and ask any questions you may have. It is also a time for the Therapist to gain a better understanding of your wants, needs, goals, and expectations from therapy so they can best support you.
